Tuesday Night: 7pm-1030pm (Mens League)

"The ladder has a magical power for attracting people who want to relax after a day's of work while maintaining an exercise program. It's awesome! I have been coming to weekly ladder for 2 years. Gradually advancing to court 2 now has build up my confidence in competitive playing. Whether we play a hard game or just goofing off, my pals and I always have tons of fun. Some of us have developed six packs from hard laughing. I still feel good even though I know I suck at this (sometimes). That's how I see other people too:)" George Chang

For many new members, it is the best way to meet more friends.

"The men's badminton league allows for meeting new people who enjoy the sport regardless of their ability. Because of the league, I have made many new friends and we strive to play together outside of the league. My wife encouraged me to take up her preferred sport two years ago, and I am hooked" Loren Merriman

Wednesday Night 7pm-930pm Ladies League (Ladies Night)

Ladies Night was a idea that started at the early stages of the club. It is a ladies league where only ladies participate. This is a great weekly event where our club really encourages ladies to come out and play badminton.

"I really like the concept of a weekly ladies night where ladies at different levels can play doubles games with each other. Based on the scores, the ranking of players changes every week and correspondingly the players they play with. Ladies night provides a very healthy, friends and fun environment to play badminton for both beginners as well as more advanced players." Payal Gupta

It has also been a very diverse community attracting many international players

"The set-up of "ladies night" is great. The pre scheduled games divides the ladies into groups from beginners to advanced players, which means you will play against women at your own level. All the games takes place in a friendly cozy atmosphere. In between games there is time to talk, laugh, and getting to know each other. The diversities in nationalities makes the 'ladies night' special."

Vibeke Brinck

Friday 4pm-7pm Junior League

Junior League is a great weekly event where a few hundred juniors playing badminton games together. It provides a great opportunity for juniors to meet new friends in a positive environment, to laugh together with their friends, in building great friendships and relationships, and it is a highlight event that gives every junior badminton player something to look forward to do every single Friday. It is fun!

"Before, badminton was just a sport for recreational purposes. Though I would play with my family or a few friends at the club, but ladder was a new taste of badminton. I could play really intense and fun games with lots of new people that were about my level and I have made a lot of new friends. With the system of going up and down the "ladder" I wanted to win and move up making the games more intense and fun. The environment is not too competitive and there is really no pressure because between games I can hang out with other people from other groups while waiting for my next match. I always have a great time during ladder. It is a different aspect of badminton with competition and fun."  Jenny Jin

Junior League is not only fun for current students, but it is also a great event for non-students that are junior that want to play fun badminton.

"I love going to junior ladder because I am able to hang out and play with my friends. I am able to meet new people that join ladder. Sometimes ladder is about winning your games, but you can also improve your skills and just have fun!"  Serena Lin
