Badminton 101: Intro to Badminton

New to badminton? This event is for you!

Badminton 101 is a fun, welcoming event designed exclusively for beginner players who want to rally and meet other people who are also new to the sport.

How It Works

This is not a class or coaching session. A facilitator will be there to help everyone get started by explaining basic badminton rules, etiquette, court positioning, and how games work. From there, the focus is on getting on court, hitting lots of shuttles, playing fun games, and enjoying plenty of rallies.

There's no emphasis on intense competition or winning. The goal is to create a relaxed environment where beginners can get comfortable playing badminton, have fun, and meet other players at a similar level.

What to Expect

• Beginner-friendly organized play and fun games
• Lots of hitting and opportunities to rally
• Basic guidance on rules and badminton etiquette
• A relaxed, social atmosphere with other new players
• One Victor Carbonsonic shuttle provided for each participant
• Rental shoes and rackets are available for an extra charge

Who: Beginners only — no prior badminton experience is required.

When: Every other Friday, 7:30–9:00 PM
